LOCH MORLICH + DULNAIN BRIDGE VILLAGE HALL WEDDING - AVIEMORE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Kate and Jamie got married back in October, on what was THE rainiest weekend of the whole month. Despite their wedding ceremony location, the wet weather didn’t stop them, and they got married on the beautiful beach at Loch Morlich, just as they had planned. Morning preparations and after ceremony drinks all happened at the fantastic Big Husky Lodge - a perfect base for the two families to come together and celebrate Kate and Jamie finally tying the knot!

I’ll pop a shout out to suppliers at the bottom of this post, but I must mention that the super cute knitted pumpkins were all made by Kate, her mum and her sister (how clever?!) and to the wedding band, Strange Broo - who I had never heard of before, but they had the dance floor in Dulnain Village Hall absolutely jumping! The talented caterers, Lutis Artisan Food also did a fantastic job, creating a tasty, filling but different wedding breakfast for everyone to enjoy!

Here’s just a little look at their day, and if you ever wondered what wedding photographers do when it’s raining, scroll right down to the bottom image - sometimes the rain can be pretty amazing!

ABERDEEN NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY - BABY G

On a snowy January morning, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a few hours than with this gorgeous bunch, who welcomed baby G in to the family just before Christmas. Natasha wanted a nice, relaxed session at home and I was delighted to oblige. All my newborn sessions are baby led, meaning we go at your babies pace - if they need fed, they can have a feed, if they need a cuddle and a walk around, then that’s what we do. There’s no pressure and no rush, and it means that every session is completely unique.

I was very lucky to have two very obliging girls to photograph, and Natasha and Simon did pretty well too! You can view more information on my newborn sessions here or pop me a note via my contact page - I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Here’s just a few of my favourites from their gallery -

NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER IN ABERDEEN - A LOOK BACK ON 2018

2018 has been the year of the baby for me! I’ve visited so many little squishes at home, documenting those hazy, special newborn moments that pass in the blink of an eye - every little detail, yawn and cuddle captured for their parents to keep forever.

There were way too many images I wanted to share, meaning that a blog post wouldn’t cut it - so I made a little slideshow of just some of the babies I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in 2018!

If you’re due in 2019. I’d love to chat to you about your bespoke at home newborn session - you can find out a little bit more here , find answers to your questions in this blog post , or pop me a note here

Grab a cup of tea (and possibly a tissue!) and listen to your ovaries pop!

DURN HOUSE WEDDING - SHONA AND ANDREW

Shona and Andrew married at the beautiful Durn House near Portsoy back in September, and they lucked out with beautiful early autumn day! They both had the biggest smiles all day - and their families had some fierce dancing shoes ready to rip up the dance floor listening to the awesome Phase 4!

Here’s just the smallest peek in to their wedding - you’ll find more recent weddings over on my Facebook page or take a wander round my blog for more wedding pretty!

BANCHORY LODGE WEDDING - K + R

You’d never guess from these photos that only hours earlier, Banchory was deluged by rain in the aftermath of a huge thunderstorm the night before! Call it divine intervention, but the.moment Kate and Ross stepped out of the church after the ceremony, the sun came out and it was a glorious day from there on in! Banchory Lodge proved the perfect backdrop for push ups, frisbee throwing, beautiful portraits and a whole lot of fun. We had the best time sharing the day with the Walder/Farmer families and here’s a sneak peek from their day!

S + R PITTODRIE HOUSE WEDDING

I love an outdoor wedding, and on one of the most beautiful days this summer, the wedding of Sarah and Robert at Pittodrie House was an absolute treat! Sarah’s gorgeous intricately detailed dress was from Blush Bridal, with the bridal party pampered to perfection by Paula Beattie Make Up Artistry. The Flower Shop in Peterhead created stunning bouquets and floral displays for the day, and Nicola and I had the always awesome Flat 4D Media capturing the day on film! Here’s just a sneak peek of their amazing day

NEWBORN SESSION ABERDEEN - BABY BETH

I met Rachel at the NCT Aberdeen Bumper Bump Club a few months ago, so I was super excited to go and meet the new addition to the family, Beth. Along with four legged baby Jaffa, we had a lovely morning of snuggles and dog cuddles and here’s just a few images from their session

If you’d like more information on newborn sessions, click here or get in touch - I’m booking right through to March due dates now so it’s never too early to get in touch

J + C AT ASWANLEY - ABERDEENSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

‘Don’t marry the first Scottish man you meet Jessie’, her family warned as she jetted from America to Scotland. She didn't marry the first, but she sure did the second, and what a wedding it was.

On the hottest day of the year, with the gorgeous backdrop of Aswanley, Glass, near Huntly, Jessie and Cameron tied the knot in a wedding full of fun, food, dancing and running barefoot through a field or two! I feel so, so lucky to have been a part of it - thank you so much for having me!

Aswanley is an amazing exclusive use barn venue located deep in the heart of the Aberdeenshire countryside - you can view another Aswanley wedding on the blog here

Newborn Photography in Aberdeen - Baby George

And just like that, the summer holidays are over! I've had an epic summer of weddings, newborn sessions and lots of fun with my own two little ones. The return to school means a bit more time to catch up on blogging, and I'm starting with the oh so gorgeous George! I met his mum Faye for an at home maternity session, and we didn't have long to wait to meet baby G. Here's just a few images from his newborn session - isn't he delicious?

NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER ABERDEEN - BABY O

It's always an honour to be allowed in to clients homes to photograph their beautiful new babies, and even more so when that tiny little human is the brand new daughter of your friend/kickass photographer Emma Lawson. I popped up one sunny afternoon to capture Baby Ottilie with her mum and dad - here's wee peek at their session!

If you're due August to January, I'd love to discuss your bespoke, baby led session at home with you - you can pop me a message here or read a little more about my newborn sessions here

FAMILY SESSION ABERDEEN - FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER IN ABERDEEN

We had the perfect day for a lovely indoor/outdoor family session with the McCarry family - the sun was shining and little Iona was feeling happy to show me round her neighbourhood, with a little walk round Hazlehead before settling in for some more photos in the cutest spot just behind their house! Indoor/outdoor sessions are perfect if your baby isn't walking, or if you just prefer to stay a bit closer to home! Here's a wee peek at their gallery -

NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY IN ABERDEEN - BABY E

Aberdeen has been experiencing a baby boom these past few months, and I have had an amazing time meeting so many gorgeous new families and getting to spend some time photographing them in their homes! Theanna and David were referred to me by a mutual photographer friend for their newborn session, and I caught up with them a few weeks after baby Ellie made her early arrival in to the world. Both sets of grandparents had flown over the Atlantic to meet her, and it was extra special to be able to capture some moments with them as well. Here's just a little sneak peek from their gallery -

This was pretty much Ellie's first thought of me - B O R I N G!

If you are looking for a newborn photographer in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire, I'd love to hear from you. My sessions are relaxed, baby led and very natural - I capture you and your family, just as you are. Having worked with hundreds of families, your baby is in safe hands - find out more information here or email me here

ABERDEEN NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY - BABY OLIVIA

Back in April, I was delighted to catch up with Louise and her beautiful new baby daughter, Olivia. Louise and I actually went to school together, back when I lived up near Keith, so it was especially lovely to see her and her gorgeous new family. Baby Olivia was a complete star and snoozed for the duration - she obviously knew I wasn't worth opening my eyes for! Here's a few images from their session -
