I'm so excited to be able to offer this service. MAMA sessions are for YOU - documenting you as a mother, and as a woman, giving you stunning images to cherish always

Shut your eyes and think about the images you wished you had of you and your baby - are they intimate + natural at home shots, or beautiful outdoor portraits? No matter where we are, my focus is capturing the love + connection between you and your little one/s. I can visit you at home, or we can adventure to a beautiful outdoor location. Whether that's in the river, by the sea, or deep in the woods - we can choose what makes your heart sing loudest.

Not if you don’t want to! The beauty of MAMA sessions is that they are completely and utterly unique to you - so you can bare as much or as little as you want. Whatever you decide, the end result will be beautiful!

That’s not a problem! It just means more cuddles, more giggles and even more love! If you are a mum of two or more, having a second adult helper with you is really helpful to keep everyone happy.

Nope! I would say around 50% of all my clients choose to keep their images private, with no social media sharing, and I am more than happy to accommodate this. When you complete your booking form, there’s a consent section where you can let me know your preferences.

Please don’t worry. Honestly, just about everyone feels like that and it’s completely understandable. But I have worked with hundreds of women, babies, children and families, and will quickly have you feeling comfortable. Like with my newborn sessions, your MAMA session is more about quality time with your baby/child, cuddling, playing and cuddling some more, rather than a ‘photo shoot’. While you may not be able to forget I’m there (especially if I’m trying my hardest not to fall over in the river with bright pink wellies on), I do my best to make sessions super relaxed and enjoyable. meaning you can concentrate on the snuggling!

I'm delighted to be able to offer two packages for MAMA sessions, which are as follows -

MAMA SESSION + 10 digital images with full printing rights £275

MAMA SESSION + 20 digital images with full printing rights £325

Outdoor mama sessions are only available up to the end of September (before the autumn chill hits!) but indoor sessions are available all year round.

I’m always happy to chat and answer any questions you may have - don’t hesitate to pop me a note if there is anything you’d like to ask! You can email me here or if you are taking the plunge and want to get booked In, then you can book your session via this form

Prepare for a dose of cute - this family are one of the first ever to feature on the VEP blog, and I was so delighted to see them again to meet the second addition to their family! These guys know how to nail a newborn session - cuddle, giggle, having a good old sniff of that special newborn smell, and cuddle some more - that’s all there is to it!

Baby I made her appearance in to the world in November last year, and I had the loveliest time photographing her and her beautiful family over a cup of tea or three! Her big brother is the definition of doting - just look at how proud he is!

Here’s a little peek from their session -

On a snowy January morning, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a few hours than with this gorgeous bunch, who welcomed baby G in to the family just before Christmas. Natasha wanted a nice, relaxed session at home and I was delighted to oblige. All my newborn sessions are baby led, meaning we go at your babies pace - if they need fed, they can have a feed, if they need a cuddle and a walk around, then that’s what we do. There’s no pressure and no rush, and it means that every session is completely unique.

I was very lucky to have two very obliging girls to photograph, and Natasha and Simon did pretty well too! You can view more information on my newborn sessions here or pop me a note via my contact page - I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Here’s just a few of my favourites from their gallery -

2018 has been the year of the baby for me! I’ve visited so many little squishes at home, documenting those hazy, special newborn moments that pass in the blink of an eye - every little detail, yawn and cuddle captured for their parents to keep forever.

There were way too many images I wanted to share, meaning that a blog post wouldn’t cut it - so I made a little slideshow of just some of the babies I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in 2018!

If you’re due in 2019. I’d love to chat to you about your bespoke at home newborn session - you can find out a little bit more here , find answers to your questions in this blog post , or pop me a note here

Grab a cup of tea (and possibly a tissue!) and listen to your ovaries pop!

I met Rachel at the NCT Aberdeen Bumper Bump Club a few months ago, so I was super excited to go and meet the new addition to the family, Beth. Along with four legged baby Jaffa, we had a lovely morning of snuggles and dog cuddles and here’s just a few images from their session

Newborn Photography in Aberdeen - Baby George

And just like that, the summer holidays are over! I've had an epic summer of weddings, newborn sessions and lots of fun with my own two little ones. The return to school means a bit more time to catch up on blogging, and I'm starting with the oh so gorgeous George! I met his mum Faye for an at home maternity session, and we didn't have long to wait to meet baby G. Here's just a few images from his newborn session - isn't he delicious?

It's always an honour to be allowed in to clients homes to photograph their beautiful new babies, and even more so when that tiny little human is the brand new daughter of your friend/kickass photographer Emma Lawson. I popped up one sunny afternoon to capture Baby Ottilie with her mum and dad - here's wee peek at their session!

If you're due August to January, I'd love to discuss your bespoke, baby led session at home with you - you can pop me a message here or read a little more about my newborn sessions here

Aberdeen has been experiencing a baby boom these past few months, and I have had an amazing time meeting so many gorgeous new families and getting to spend some time photographing them in their homes! Theanna and David were referred to me by a mutual photographer friend for their newborn session, and I caught up with them a few weeks after baby Ellie made her early arrival in to the world. Both sets of grandparents had flown over the Atlantic to meet her, and it was extra special to be able to capture some moments with them as well. Here's just a little sneak peek from their gallery -

This was pretty much Ellie's first thought of me - B O R I N G!

If you are looking for a newborn photographer in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire, I'd love to hear from you. My sessions are relaxed, baby led and very natural - I capture you and your family, just as you are. Having worked with hundreds of families, your baby is in safe hands - find out more information here or email me here

After a gorgeous outdoor maternity session the week before Lucia made her appearance in the world, I couldn't wait to head out to her parent's Inverurie home to photograph them all settling in as a family. I adore newborn sessions - and the connection I quickly build with you means that I can tell your family story in heartfelt and beautiful way. Lucia's mum wanted to capture their breastfeeding relationship, and it was an honour to document it for them - you'll see a sneak peek of their full gallery below.

My newborn sessions are bespoke, and completely tailored to the needs of your family - they are relaxed, natural and totally baby led. With lots of time for cuddles, feeds and a cup of tea, it will feel more like a morning spent cuddling your baby than a photo shoot. You can find out more information about my newborn sessions here

I met Emma and her gorgeous family for a maternity session a few weeks ago, and we didn't have to wait long for bump to become baby, as baby Penelope made her appearance a few days later. We had such a lovely morning, with lots of cuddles for baby Penelope and the best big sister Abi keeping an eye on proceedings! Here's just a small selection from their newborn gallery!

My spaces for summer are nearly full, so I'd love to hear from you soon to talk about your newborn session at home to avoid disappointment. You can pop me an email here.

I am currently booking right through to October, so it's never too early to get in touch! You can read more about my newborn sessions in this blog post

Aberdeen Newborn Photographer - Baby Aidan

Baby Aidan kept his mum and dad waiting for his arrival, but I didn't have to wait too long to meet him and photograph this gorgeous family at home. Aidan kept us on our toes, and you can tell from these images that there is more than a hint of mischief in this little squish. Here's just a few images from their gallery - my summer availability is very limited due to booked in newborns and weddings, so if you're looking for relaxed and natural newborn photography at home, I'd love to hear from you. You can find more information about my sessions + packages here

Baby Josephine - Aberdeen Newborn Photography

Beautiful baby Josephine and her gorgeous mama Morag responded to model call on Facebook last month, and their session was just perfection.

"Vivienne came to our home to shoot a newborn session after I'd volunteered for a model call. I'd never met Vivienne but from the minute she came into our home it felt like having an old friend come to visit. She made it a relaxed and fun experience for all of us, even my huffy 2 year old! She caught some wonderful natural moments and was happy to wait when my daughter needed fed or changed. The photos are absolutely gorgeous, I couldn't be happier with them! I couldn't recommend Vivienne highly enough. My only regret is not having booked a session for my first born! Thank you!"

Capturing those special little details was a big part of this session - I adore Josephine's tiny hand resting on her mama's chest. And those lips - what a pout! I really wanted to celebrate just how amazing women's bodies are with this session, and Morag bravely bared her belly, less than two weeks after welcoming baby Josephine in to the world.

In my sessions, I always aim to capture images that make your heart swell when you see them, the sort of images that I would have loved to have when my two were newborns. Sometimes the first few weeks are such a whirlwind, that you forget to just sit, and soak in that gorgeous newborn smell. Morag was more than happy to relax and breathe in her baby while I captured them together.

Josephine is lucky to have a very handsome and doting older brother, and watching the hearts of siblings grow right in front of your eyes is just amazing.

And there's always time for some cuddles with Daddy - I might have even more of an obsession with baby hands than I do with baby feet!

My at home sessions are available in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, and I'm now booking right through to September. Summer availability is limited and booking up fast - if you'd like to secure your newborn session with me, I'd love for you to get in touch!  You can find more information about newborn sessions here.
